July Meeting Notes

Hey Gals,

We had a great meeting tonight. Nice to see everyone, especially Tammy and Cheryl, who we haven't seen since December, or was the time January?? HAHA

Anyway, our speaker was

Rachael Thomson with Kidzeum of Health & Science

What an exciting project!! She told us about the Kidzeum and the purpose of the project and it sounds fantastic!! I can't wait to see it and I'm sure it's going to be a huge educational asset to our community and it sounds like they are well on their way to making it a reality.

We got to see what it's going to look like, as well as what kids were saying about it. The basic design is a tree house and the kids in the presentation were so excited!

Inside, the kids will get a chance to walk through a replica of the human body, as well as learn how to be more "green" and it's going to be a different kind of "museum", because the kids will be encouraged to interact with the exhibits, instead of a "don't touch" approach. It's clear that the Kidzeum is going to be a favorite spot for the kids.
