Well ladies we had another great meeting!! We were at Bella
Millano and our guest speaker was Amanda
Eichholz with Big Brother Big Sister. She gave us some more in depth information about their mentoring program, as well as, told us about their big fund raiser coming up,
"Bowl for Kids Sake"
Here's what they need.....
-Bowling Teams to sign up to raise money
-Volunteers to work the bowling events
-Mentors to actually be Big Brothers & Big Sisters

floataquote@yahoo.comIf you've always wanted to be a Big Sister, but didn't think you had the time, they have a great solution. You can do 1 hour a week on your lunch hour! You can use that time to have lunch with your little buddy, or play a game, or any activity you'd like. You go to their school during that hour and it sounds like a great way to help, even if you don't have a lot of free time!

If / when you joined National PLEASE make sure that Judy knows you have done so, because National is saying that some have not joined when in fact, they have. As of today we have 27 ladies who have joined
BTS.
National has also canceled the conference that was scheduled in
LasVegas in March. They are thinking about having a one day event, more information will be coming on that.
Chemo Caps
WOW!!!! I left there tonight with 32 more caps than I walked in with, that's AMAZING!!!! 20 of those caps were done up by Janet Wilson's friend Judith Williams, this woman is AMAZING!!! She has single
handedly knitted up 32 caps to date, thank you SO SO SO much Judith!!
What's started as a one time project has grown into a full "knitting charity" group!!! If you or someone you know wants to be a part of our charity knitting, PLEASE let me know. Also I need to establish a knitting email group (so I don't keep bugging you non knitters) so if you are interested in being on my "knit list" please email me at
Miggylane@aol.com. The quick run down is we will have a new project every 3 months, we'll do chemo caps through February and we'll start Washcloths for Sojourn March 1. Those of us who will be knitting need to get together late February to iron out the rest of the details, but if you want to be part of this, just shoot me a note.
